PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a rail wear measurement apparatus capable of performing highly accurate measurement of a rail wear amount without being obstructed by sleepers and tie plates.SOLUTION: The rail wear measurement apparatus is provided with: a pair of legs (10) each having a reference surface contactable with a bottom surface of a rail to be measured, and securing means for securing the reference surface onto the rail in a contacted state with the bottom of the rail; a trunk (20) horizontally bridged between an upper part of one of the pair of the legs and an upper part of another one of the pair of the legs; a holding member (31) attached so as to be movable along the trunk; a guide rail (32) provided so as to extend from the holding member in a perpendicular (forward) direction with respect to the trunk; and a measurement head (36) attached so as to be movable along the guide rail. The measurement head is provided with: a contact piece (38) movable along a vertical direction and contactable on an upper surface of the rail; and length measurement means capable of measuring a move amount of the contact piece from a reference position. The measurement head is moved forward with respect to the trunk by an arbitrary amount to perform the measurement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
