摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce whiteout, occurrence of shadow, and fluctuations in the brightness or color, of a captured image of some object having gloss and irregularities.SOLUTION: An image acquisition device includes an image sensor 121 for acquiring the image of a shooting object, an illumination unit 11 for irradiating monochromatic light having directivity, and a polarization beam splitter 13 for separating the light from the illumination unit 11 into two polarized light, irradiating the shooting object with one polarized light, making the scattering light reflected on the shooting object by this irradiation transmit to an image sensor 121, and making the polarization mirror reflected on the shooting object reflect to the illumination unit 11. With such an arrangement, reflection light from the shooting object entirely impinge on the polarization beam splitter 13 and returns back to the illumination unit 11, and the image sensor 121 can acquire the image of the shooting object by the scattering light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
