PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the displacement of a counter substrate relative to a TFT substrate, and prevent a columnar spacer from cutting an alignment film.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises a TFT substrate in which scan lines 10 extend in a first direction and are arranged in a second direction, video signal lines 20 extend in the second direction and are arranged in the first direction, a pixel electrode 112 is formed in each region surrounded by the scan lines 10 and the video signal lines 20, and a common electrode is formed through an insulating film in accordance with the pixel electrode 112; and a counter substrate having a columnar spacer 40 opposite to the TFT substrate. The liquid crystal is held between the TFT substrate and the counter substrate. A common metal wire 30 is stacked on the common electrode to cover the video signal lines 20 or the scan lines 10. The common metal wire 30 is provided with a through hole 70. An end of the columnar spacer 40 is disposed in the through hole 70.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
