The invention relates to novel metallocene amino acid and peptide complexes containing a metallo-organic compound of formula (I): [A-(LaM)-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-I-J]<+> [N]<->, wherein L is independent, identical or different and means a hydrocarbon radical, a pi ligand or an electron donor; a means 1, 2, 3 or 4; M is an element from the III, IV or V subgroup of the periodic table of the elements; B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I are independent, identical or different and represent the radical of a neutral, acidic or basic aliphatic or aromatic amino acid which can be substituted in a side-chain or represents a direct bond; J stands for the radical of an aliphatic or aromatic amino acid ester which can be substituted in a side-chain, A is a hydrogen atom or a C1-C30 radical containing carbon and N is an anion.
