IMAGE DECODING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify various hardware configurations for realizing display processing by detecting the value (size) of the frame rate of an image coded signal, in which a frame rate is fixed, previously before performing the decode processing of each frame. SOLUTION: The image decoding device 2200 is provided with a data divider (DEMUX) 2210 to separate minute unit time data Dk, a display identifier Df, a display period multiplier data Dm, display time data Dyn and image coded data Cgn from a multiplex bit stream M2 sent from a transmitting side, and a decoder 2220 to decode the image coded data Cgn to output the image decoded data Rg. The image of frame corresponding to the image decoded data Rg, in which the display period is fixed, is displayed at a display timing based on the minute unit time data Dk and the display period multiplier data Dm.
