PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize miniaturization of a solid state imaging device equipped with macro imaging function (close-up photography) other than regular photographing function. SOLUTION: The substrate 106 mounted with the imaging element 161, and the lens unit 101 movably holding the lens 113, standing on the substrate 106 with the leg 111k are provided. Between the substrate 106 and the lens unit 101, the peripheral circuit device 160 is disposed. Therefore, the height of the solid imaging device in an optical axis direction can be lower than the peripheral circuit device 160 is disposed on the other side of the lens unit 101 to the substrate 106.
