PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out accurate home position correction even when noise of a Z-phase signal intrudes in a position detector carrying out home position correction by a Z-phase pulse by using an incremental encoder having an A-phase, a B-phase, and a Z-phase. SOLUTION: The Z-phase pulse has a width of two pulses or more of an A-phase pulse or a B-phase pulse, a Z-phase pulse edge detector, and a post Z-phase up edge counter starting counting after edge detection are provided, A Z-phase pulse input determination unit is provided for determining an input of the Z-phase pulse from a counter value, and a value less than count values of the A-phase and B-phase pulses equivalent to the width of the Z-phase pulse, and a position corrector 1 is provided for carrying out home position correction of A-phase and B-phase counters by outputs of the Z-phase input determination unit, and the post Z-phase up edge counter.
