A display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve contrast of the display device and to facilitate application of a command voltage on display cells. A display device includes a TFT(Thin Film Transistor)(Tdr), a pixel electrode(161), a light emitting layer(182), a command electrode(190), an auxiliary electrode(241), and a second insulation substrate(210). The TFT is formed on a first insulation substrate. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the TFT. The light emitting layer is formed on the pixel electrode. The command electrode is formed on the light emitting layer. The auxiliary electrode is formed in a lattice-like shape to expose at least a portion of the pixel electrode. A common voltage is applied on the auxiliary electrode, which is electrically connected to the command electrode. The second insulation substrate is arranged on the auxiliary electrode. |
