PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal compressor and a geared centrifugal compressor having sufficient durability and compression efficiency.SOLUTION: A centrifugal compressor 1 comprises: an axis of revolution 2 extending along an axis O; a disk 7 fixed on the axis of revolution 2 and projecting outward radially; a plurality of blades 8 provided at intervals in a circumferential direction on a surface facing one side in the axis O direction of the disk 7; an impeller 5 having a cover 9 covering the blades 8 from one side in the axis O direction; and a casing 6 covering the impeller 5 and having a facing inner peripheral surface 6A facing the outer peripheral surface of the cover 9 in the impeller 5, in which the facing inner peripheral surface 6A includes: a cylindrical inner peripheral surface 61A extending along the axis O; a diameter expansion inner peripheral surface 62A connected to the other side in the axis O direction of the cylindrical inner peripheral surface 61A and extending radially outward toward the other side; and further a seal portion 10 sealing between the diameter expansion inner peripheral surface 62A and the outer peripheral surface of the cover 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
