Provided is a plant cultivating apparatus in which the amount of supplied liquid nutrients and water can be reduced. In a hollow cultivation box in which the roots of the cultivated plants hang down vertically, there are provided nozzles that spray the liquid nutrients as a mist having an average particle diameter of 5-10 mum as measured by a laser measurement method, and the spray amount thereof is 2-3 liters per hour. The number and disposed location of the nozzles are set according to the shape of the cultivation box so that there is one nozzle provided per a maximum of 6m3 in proportion to the interior volume of the cultivation box. In addition, a nozzle control device is provided so that the spray from the nozzles keeps the interior humidity of the cultivation box in a range of 95%-100%. |
