1. An external fixator for fixing bone segments into a construct comprising a frame (1) and a plurality of bone pins (2), wherein the frame (1) consists of two bars (1a, 1b) opposed to each other in a clamshell fashion and clamped together by a multitude of fastening means, e.g. bolts and nuts (3), and wherein the clamping of the two bars results in clamping of some, but not all of the bone pins interposed between the bars at a multitude of pre-set positions. |
