Residual credit return method for coin-operated amusement machine

The residual credit return method allows a limited number of the rotary elements (3) of the gaming mechanism (2) to be operated when the residual credit is less than that required for normal play, with an indicated win by the operated rotary element added to the credit total. The gaming machine may be controlled by a microcomputer, with random generation of the win value when the residual credit is below that required for normal play and activation of a display indicating the selected win value.
