PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to change the LCD displaying part and the key operating part of a portable telephone set into display that corresponds to many languages without using a removable insertion type panel. SOLUTION: When a key detected by a key detecting part 5 is a switch key, a controlling part 7 stores the identification code of a selected language in a storage part 6, and a display content switching part 10 selects a display language from the identification code stored in the storage part 6 and displays the display language on the LCD displaying part 1. Together with it, an operating part switching part 11 selects the display language from the identification code stored in the storage part 6 and switches a display language of the key operating part 4.
