PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric transformer, or a laminated type piezoelectric transformer utilizing resonance in lengthwise direction, where an inactive region of a piezoelectric ceramics plate constituting the piezoelectric transformer which is not supplied with an internal electrode is normalized to improve yield, with less temperature rise, size, and loss. SOLUTION: A laminated type piezoelectric transformer is provided where distances A and A' are so provided that the shortest distance between an external electrode 7 where a plurality of internal electrodes 6 are connected in parallel which constitute the laminated type piezoelectric transformer 1 utilizing resonance in lengthwise direction and an internal electrode 6' which is not connected to the external electrode 7 is 1/2 or longer of the thickness of ceramics plate 4 constituting the piezoelectric transformer while an inactive region a+a' of the ceramics plate 4 which is not supplied with the internal electrode is 40% or less of an area of the ceramics plate 4 where the internal electrode is formed.
