The method for the fixation of the mechanical prosthesis into the mitral position preserving both cusps of the mitral valve comprises the stage of the fixation of the artificial mitral prosthesis into the intermediate position with the aid of 16-18 separate U-shaped sutures. The visual control allows for assessing the improbability of mitral valve dysfunction due to the direct contact between the cut of the fibrous ring and locking element.
