摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic coupling type isolator, which can be reduced in size compared to a conventional magnetic coupling type isolator.SOLUTION: A magnetic coupling type isolator comprises: a signal electric current line 1 for causing the flow of an electric current in which signals are overlapped; a magnetic field detecting device 10 that detects a magnetic field generated by the flow of an electric current in the signal electric current line 1; and an insulation substrate 2 that electrically insulates between the signal electric current line 1 and magnetic field detecting device 10. The signal electric current line 1 is configured such that a magnetic field can be applied to the magnetic field detecting device 10 in one direction. The magnetic field detecting device 10 includes a magnetoresistance effect element having a long axis and a short axis orthogonal to the long axis. The magnetoresistance effect element has a lamination structure in which second ferromagnetic layers are sequentially arranged in layers, the second ferromagnetic layers being orientated in the direction in which a magnetizing direction stretches along the long axis in a non-magnetic field. The magnetizing direction of a first ferromagnetic layer is fixed in a direction along the direction of a magnetic field generated by the flow of an electric current in the signal electric current line 1. The magnetizing direction of the second ferromagnetic layer varies according to an electric field generated by the flow of an electric current in the signal electric current line 1.
