PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine capable of rapidly detecting the fact when a crack occurs in a member of an intake system or a member of an exhaust system.SOLUTION: An engine 100 includes an intake and exhaust pressure sensor 53, an atmospheric pressure sensor 59, and an ECU 50. The intake and exhaust pressure sensor 53 at least detects and outputs an intake pressure or an exhaust pressure. The atmospheric pressure sensor 59 detects and outputs an atmospheric pressure. The ECU 50 calculates a correction pressure which is obtained by subtracting the atmospheric pressure detected by the atmospheric pressure sensor 59 in starting of the engine from the pressure detected by the intake and exhaust pressure sensor 53 in operation of the engine, and determines that a crack occurs in a member of an intake and exhaust system when the correction pressure is zero. |
