PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attaching apparatus capable of precisely attaching a cover material such as a nonwoven fabric or the like to the outer peripheral surface of a pipe material such as an already molded pipe joint or the like so as to strictly conform to the outer peripheral surface of the pipe material. SOLUTION: This attaching apparatus 1 is equipped with a core material 21 to which the pipe joint 3 having the nonwoven fabric 2 wound around its outer peripheral surface is external fitted and fixed and an outer mold 22 composed of a plurality of the split mold materials 31, etc. arranged so as to surround the pipe joint 3 fixed to the core material 21 from the outside and made movable in the direction approaching and separated with respect to the pipe joint 3. When the split mold materials 31, etc. of the outer mold 22 are pressed to the whole periphery of the nonwoven fabric 2 of the pipe joint 3 over several times, the pressing regions of respective times are allowed to partially overlap with each other while shifted circumferentially along the outer peripheral surface of the pipe joint 3.
