PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk drive device capable of securing a floating amount of a magnetic head and preventing the magnetic head and a disk from being damaged even in the region of a high altitude or a low air pressure, and to provide a navigation device that it is unnecessary to stop the use of the hard disk drive device even in the region of the high altitude or the low air pressure. SOLUTION: The hard disk drive device includes: a disk 10 having a magnetic recording layer; and a magnetic head 12 for recording/reproducing magnetic data in the magnetic recording layer. The hard disk drive device also includes an air flow applying means 20 for supplying an air flow of a pressure for maintaining roughly constant a gap between the magnetic head 12 and the disk 10 to the magnetic head 12 according to the pressure in the hard disk drive device.
