PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength path communication node device capable of implementing output having an arbitrary wavelength, output to an arbitrary route, and no collision with respect to wavelengths and routes.SOLUTION: A branch insertion device 11 comprises: a communication unit 101 for performing optical signal communication with at least one client device and at least one network; and a control unit 102 for designating, depending on an attribute of a received optical signal, the optical signal's transfer destination to the communication unit 101. The control unit 102 designates an optical signal's attenuation in units of devices to be connected, to the communication unit 101; and designates change of the attenuation to the communication unit 101 when a connected device has been replaced. The communication unit 101 attenuates an optical signal by attenuation designated by the control unit 102, and transfers the attenuated optical signal to a transfer destination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
