PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions and methods for the treatment of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and for inhibiting, reducing, delaying and/or preventing the progression of MCI to Alzheimer's disease.SOLUTION: The methods require administering an effective amount of one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of tropisetron, disulfiram, honokiol and nimetazepam.
