PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core-gathering device and method for gathering a sample by a single system speedily with a high gathering rate for a wide range of soil nature and bedrock such as deposit and soft rock. SOLUTION: An expansion mixing device 3 for generating bubbles and at the same time creating bubble water where the volume ratio of bubbles and spring water at one atmospheric pressure is equal to 5:1-1:3 by mixing the bubbles with the spring water, an excavator 5 having a tubular rod 40 that has a bit 37 at the tip and can be rotated, and an inner tube 43 that is arranged at the inner, lower side, and a means 3 for force-feeding the bubble water into the rod of the excavator are provided. The rod is provided with a path where the bubble water that is force-fed into the rod passes between the inner surface of the rod and the outer surface of the inner tube 43 from the inside of the rod and is discharged onto the ground along the outer surface of the rod via the tip of the rod.
