PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve up-sizing of a protruding functional part, while avoiding occurrence of sink marks during metallic molding process.SOLUTION: A female connector F (connector) includes a block body 11 where a plurality of terminal housing chambers 17 are formed, a synthetic resin protruding functional part 16 protruding from the outer surface of the body 11, a terminal housing chamber 17 formed in the protruding functional part 16, and a plurality of terminal fittings 40 to be housed in the terminal housing chamber 17. Since a space constituting the terminal housing chamber 17 exists in the protruding functional part 16, occurrence of sink marks in the protruding functional part 16 can be avoided during metallic molding process, even if the protruding functional part 16 is up-sized. |
