PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen printing method capable of positively preventing the occurrence of printing failure after the operation of a device is restarted. SOLUTION: In the screen printing wherein a paste is printed on a substrate carried from an upstream side device by a screen printing device for carrying the printed substrate to a downstream side device, when a process waiting state occurs in the screen printing device during automatic operation and the device suspension state continues for more than a preliminarily set reference time and requiring the confirmation of the paste condition, the automatic operation is suspended, giving an alarm to that effect to let an operator to visually confirm the paste condition. Based on the confirmation result, the propriety of overlapping printing or the propriety of changing a reference time is decided, and necessary procedure is performed and is returned to a normal device operation state to restart production. Thereby, printing failure, which is liable to occur in restarting the device as it is, can be surely prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
