PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent jam of bills in BV (bill validator) from occurring.SOLUTION: A bill handling device 3 includes a first crushing unit configured to perform first crushing to a bill at payment and a second crushing unit configured to perform second crushing to the bill after the first crushing. The first crushing unit includes a pair of conveyance belts 11 and 23 that convey the bill according to the predetermined conveyance direction of the bill at payment and whose distance from each other in the thickness direction of the bill gradually narrows along the predetermined conveyance direction. The second crushing unit includes a pair of crushing rollers 29 and 21 disposed at the end of the first crushing unit in the predetermined conveyance direction. |
