The terminal (10) has a display unit (110) for displaying a selection indicator, and an input unit (120) with a rotary input device i.e. jogdisk (122), that is rotated and moved. A control (140) detects rotating motion of the jogdisk and controls the movement of the indicator based on sensitivity information from the input unit. The jogdisk produces rotary signals in angles at a time of the motion, where the sensitivity information includes information according to a recognition cycle in which the signals are recognized as basic input signals for movement of the display. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting sensitivity of a rotary input device.
