<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensor having improved light receiving sensitivity from the upper part of a substrate, and to provide a display device using this photosensor. <P>SOLUTION: The photosensor having a light-receiving section provided on a semiconductor thin film includes a substrate 1 having a recess 1a provided with a forward-tapered slope sidewall A, a reflection material layer 3 provided along the recess 1a of the substrate 1, an insulation film 5 for covering the substrate 1 provided with the reflection material layer 3, and a semiconductor thin film 7 provided on the insulation film 5 while crossing the recess 1a, wherein the light receiving portion (i-region) 7i of the semiconductor thin film 7 is disposed on the recess 1a.
