<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preparing trifluoromethanesulfonyl fluoride in a shortened process, in an enhanced yield, and at an enhanced purity as compared with those of conventional processes for preparation. <P>SOLUTION: The process for preparing trifluoromethanesulfonyl fluoride (CF<SB>3</SB>SO<SB>2</SB>F) includes reacting trifluoromethanesulfonyl chloride (CF<SB>3</SB>SO<SB>2</SB>Cl) with a metal fluoride in the presence of water. The process for preparation is characterized in that the reaction is carried out using the amount of water within the range of 0.6-10.0 mass% based on 100 mass% of the metal fluoride. Thereby, an extremely simplified process for the preparation having an enhanced reaction yield, which is easy in the control of the reaction, and is satisfactory in respect of the product purity as compared with those of the conventional processes for the preparation can be provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
