PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article positioning device which can favorably perform the positioning of both ends of an article in a transfer direction.SOLUTION: An article positioning device comprises: fore-and-aft positioning members 3, 2 which position articles S at a front end side and a rear end side of a transfer direction of the articles S which are transferred along a transfer route K, and align the fore-and-aft ends of the articles S on the transfer route K at preset positions; and moving means for moving the fore-and-aft positioning members 3, 2 which position the articles S at the front end and the rear end of the transfer direction while moving along the transfer route K. The grip of the articles S is released by the separation of the fore-and-aft positioning members 3, 2 from each other when the members come off from a proximal position so that the fore-and-aft positioning members 3, 2 grip the articles S by changing postures to positioning postures in the proximal position in which a pair of the fore-and-aft positioning members 3, 2 approximate the articles S in a return route 12. |
