PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure restraint performance of a low back part of a seated occupant, and quickly and efficiently restrain a shoulder part of the seated occupant.SOLUTION: In a side airbag device 10, a side airbag 20 is partitioned into a lower bag part 28, a front bag part 24, and a rear bag part 26. An inflator storage chamber 60 for storing an inflator 22 is partitioned in a rear part of an inside of the rear bag part 26. Gas injected from the inflator 22 is supplied into the lower bag part 28 from a lower end opening 60B, and is supplied into a shoulder restraining part 26A in an upper part of the rear bag part 26. Thereby, not only the lower bag part 28 for restraining a low back part L but also the shoulder restraining part 26A for restraining a shoulder part S can be quickly expanded and developed to high pressure. In addition, as the shoulder restraining part 26A extends to a front side of a vehicle on an upper side of the front bag part 24, a restrained area of the shoulder part by the shoulder restraining part 26A can be expanded. |
