PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a junction structure for a column that facilitates joint processing, avoids formation of a structural weak point, and secures sufficient bending strength.SOLUTION: A junction structure 1 for a column of the present invention has a notch 3a of a stepped form provided on an edge surface of a column member 2a, and a notch 3b to be fitted with the notch formed on an edge surface of a column member 2b. The column members 2a, 2b are connected to each other at the edge surfaces thereof, by fitting the notches 3a, 3b with each other. Attachment plates 4, 5 are bonded on each of the column members 2a, 2b, over and sandwiching contacting portions thereof from both sides and covering a side surface orthogonal to the stepped side surface exposed. The attachment plates 4, 5 are positioned so that a bonding surface area with the column member 2a almost equals a bonding surface area with the column member 2b. However, since there is a height difference between the notches 3a, 3b by a dimension h equivalent to a riser, a top edge position of the attachment plate 5 is lower than a top edge position fo the attachment plate 4 by the dimension h equivalent to the riser.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
