PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence of density unevenness in one and the same page on the measurement result of calibration.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes reading means 61 reading a test patch image printed on a printing medium and acquiring the density of the test patch image, representative value calculation means 22 calculating the representative value of the density in the printing page of the printing medium as a page representative value and calculating the representative value of the density in a measurement position corresponding line on the printing medium as a line representative value, correction coefficient calculation means 23 calculating a correction coefficient indicating the difference between the calculated page representative value and the calculated line representative value, patch density measurement means 56 measuring the density of the test patch image on a transfer belt 73, and correction table production means 24 producing a correction table for input and output characteristics, based on the density on the transfer belt 73 and the correction coefficient. |
