PURPOSE: A pre-engaged recording device is provided to allow viewers see the brief description of the recorded program, search programs easily and manage the recorded VCR tape in which variety of programs are recorded easily by adding index to the each of the recorded program. CONSTITUTION: The device of a digital broadcasting system and a pre-engaged recording method thereof comprises a digital broadcasting receiver which transmits the video or audio signal of the pre-engaged program, which transmits the intelligent information registered at the pre-engaged program list before the pre-engaged time and a record revival device(200) which records the audio or video signal received from the digital broadcasting receiver(100) at the recorder after recording the intelligent information.
