PURPOSE: A remote system testing method using a subscriber terminal device capable of judging a state of a switching system using a subscriber terminal device which a system manager has registered and managed in the switching system, is provided. CONSTITUTION: The remote system testing method using a subscriber terminal device in a switching system, the method comprising the steps of: testing whether a received digit is a test mode executing command when sensing a hook off from the subscriber terminal device; requesting an input of a circuit ID to be tested when the received digit is a test mode executing command; testing whether a circuit corresponding to the circuit ID is abnormal when the circuit ID is inputted; and transmitting an error tone to the subscriber terminal device when the circuit corresponding to the circuit ID is abnormal, and transmitting a normal tone to the subscriber terminal device when the circuit corresponding to the circuit ID is not abnormal.
