PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for classifying dredged soil capable of easily separating the sand material contained in dredged soil from the dredged soil effectively using the sand material as a construction material, and reducing the volume of the dredged soil disposed for land reclamation. SOLUTION: After adding water to dredged soil in a mud regulating tank 4 and regulating the dredged soil to a unit volume weight, the dredged soil is led into a centripetal type separator 21, and a slurry silt and clay content 8 is discharged from an outlet 17 at the upper part of the centripetal type separator 21 and the sand material 9 is discharged from a drain port 18 at the lower part of the centripetal type separator 21 to a soil transportation ship 7 for transporting the sand material 9 to a use place.
