<p>The invention provides a rotary screen having a screen cloth 30 on which are mounted a plurality of teeth 35 comprising substantially triangular flat spear head-like blades having a relatively blunt leading edge 41 subtending an angle greater than 60{ and terminating in a rounded free distal end 40. In this way, the rotary screen does not retain hard material such as pieces of wood within the screen but they fall off the teeth and thus are delivered out the screen. At the same time, the screen is able to burst and open plastics bags because while the teeth are blunt, they are sufficiently sharp to cut plastics material.</p> |
