PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modem mounting structure which can mount a modem to an electronic device with a mounting fitting regardless of the shape of the modem. SOLUTION: In a structure for mounting a modem 3 which connects an electronic device 2 to an external communication line, a modem mounting fitting 10 comprises a mounting main body 11 of a plate shape having a pair of opposing surfaces, resilient holders 12 projected from the pair of respective opposing surfaces, resilient slip-out members 13 projected from the pair of respective opposing surfaces, and an over-insertion preventing member 14 provided to the mounting main body 11. Under a condition that the modem 3 is inserted in the modem mounting fitting 10 fixed to an electronic device 2, the electronic device 2 is connected to an external communication line.
