PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tank for static electromagnetic induction apparatus where overheating of reinforcing members is prevented. SOLUTION: On the upper plate 1a of a tank 1 for a transformer for power supply, a main reinforcing member 7 made of nonmagnetic stainless steel having a T-shaped cross section and an auxiliary reinforcing member 15 at the end of the main reinforcing member 7 of a nearly H-shape are welded. The auxiliary reinforcing member 15 is for reinforcing a welding part with the upper plate 1a at the end of the main reinforcing member 7 to reduce stress. Though eddy currents Jb1 and Jb2 are induced at a side plate 1b and the auxiliary reinforcing member 15 by a magnetic fluxΦm generated by current flowing through a copper belt 9, the eddy current Jb2 is suppressed since the auxiliary reinforcing member 15 is nearly H-shaped, so that raising of temperature at the auxiliary reinforcing member 15 can be reduced.
