An image processing device includes: a interpolation color processing circuit which inputs images of a continuous frame and subjects them to interpolation and color processing; a storage unit which cyclically stores images of a plurality of frames which are being processed or have been processed by the interpolation color processing circuit; a plurality of image compression process circuits which read images of frames which have been subjected to the processing by the interpolation color processing circuit from the storage unit so as to be subjected to the image compression process and are cyclically started for each frame to perform a parallel process; and a compressed data storage unit which stores the compressed data which has been processed by the image compression process circuits. Thus, the image compression process has a greater weight than the interpolation process and the color process. Accordingly, it is possible to solve the problem of the conventional technique that a long processing time is required.
