PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide combustion equipment for a melting furnace and a melting furnace adapted to form vertically diffused, spread flame to spread the flame downward on the base end side of the flame so that a melting object can be heated uniformly along the flame in a longitudinal direction.SOLUTION: The combustion equipment is adapted for a melting furnace of a through port system constituted as follows: a fuel ejecting equipment is provided with at least a fuel ejection unit F1 on the top and a fuel ejection unit F2 on the bottom disposed in an upper and lower direction as viewed in the direction of fuel ejection; an upper ejected flow ejected from the fuel ejection unit F1 and a lower ejected flow ejected from the fuel ejection unit F2 collide in an ejection downstream; and ejection orifices for cooling 13 are provided to eject fuel gas into a combustion space, so that the ejection of the gas fuel from the ejection orifices for cooling 13 cools down fuel ejection units F1, F2.
