PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic jam information production device allowing acquisition of a position of the end of a traffic jam line by acquiring a traffic jam length of the traffic jam line even when all vehicles are not probe cars. SOLUTION: A CPU 11 of an information distribution center 3 collects probe information including position information or the like of one's own position from each the probe car 6, and detects a traffic jam lane and the traffic jam line in the traffic jam lane based on the probe information (S11-S12). The CPU 11 reads a probe car rate of an area to which each the traffic jam lane belongs from a probe car rate DB 18, and stores it into a RAM 12 (S13). The CPU 11 detects the number of the probe cars 6 in the traffic jam line from the collected probe information, calculates the number of the vehicles of the traffic jam line from the number of the probe cars 6 and the probe car rate of the area corresponding to the traffic jam lane, calculates the traffic jam length based on the number of the vehicles to produce traffic jam length information, and distributes it to each the probe car 6 (S14-S16).
