PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample treatment device, a sample container, and a flow control mechanism capable of treating a sample more suitably. SOLUTION: A plate 46 which holds the sample is housed in a cassette 48. A taper 74 is formed on one end in a longitudinal direction of the cassette 48. When an advancing and retreating bar 54 advances and retreats on the plate 46, liquid supplied to the cassette 48 is forcibly flown. When the liquid is discharged, the advancing and retreating bar 54 advances and retreats within a range E2 from one end to other end of the cassette 48. At that time, the advancing and retreating bar 54 reaching a starting end of the range E2 abuts on the taper 74. Thus, the advancing and retreating bar 54 rotates around a moving shaft 56 by abutting on the taper 74, and is guided upward automatically to improve liquid draining performance.
