PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber material having low permeability and resistance to permanent set in fatigue by vulcanizing blended rubber of IIR and EPDM with peroxide, and also to provide a brake hose having low permeability and resistance to permanent set in fatigue by using the rubber material. SOLUTION: In the brake hose 10 having a plurality of tubular rubber layers arranged concentrically, at least the innermost inner tube rubber layer 11 is formed of: the blended rubber that contains butyl rubber (IIR) to which divinylbenzene is added; and ethylene-propylene diene copolymer rubber (EPDM), and that is vulcanized with peroxide. The mass ratio between butyl rubber (IIR) to which divinylbenzene is added and ethylene-propylene diene copolymer rubber (EPDM) is 50/50 to 80/20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
