摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display unevenness caused by light irradiation to a transistor in an organic EL display apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The top emission type display apparatus comprises a pixel circuit P, such as, a driving signal fixing circuit formed on a substrate 101, and an organic EL element 127 formed on the pixel circuit P, such that emitted light from the organic EL element 127 is extracted from the opposite side to the substrate 101. The organic EL element 127 is formed, by laminating a lower electrode 504 formed of a light-shielding material, an organic layer 506 having at least a light-emitting layer, and an upper electrode 508, in this order, starting from the lower layer side. A thin-film transistor Q, which participates in a driving signal fixing function, is arranged at a lower part of the lower electrode 504, such that the lower electrode 504 functions as the light-shielding layer. In the thin-film transistor Q, arranged selectively at the lower part of the lower electrode 504, an overlapping amount between a sampling transistor 125 and the lower electrode 504 is ser larger than the overlapping amount between the sampling transistor 125 and the lower electrode 504. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
