<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ticket examination machine and a ticket examination method for processing a plurality of non-contact portable electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A ticket examination machine 1 reads information from a plurality of portable electronic equipment by radio communication, and calculates a fare on the basis of the read boarding information.
