SOLUTION: The present invention provides a multi-piece solid golf ball comprising: a core; an envelope layer covering the core; an intermediate layer covering the envelope layer; and an outmost layer covering the intermediate layer, characterized in that: the surface hardnesses of the core, an envelope layer covering ball, an intermediate layer covering ball and a ball satisfy a predetermined relation; the thickness of the intermediate layer and the thickness of a cover satisfy a predetermined relation; and in a core hardness distribution, a core surface hardness (Cs), a core center hardness (Cc), the hardness (C5) of the position of 5 mm from the core center, and the hardness (Cm) of an intermediate position between the surface and the center of the core satisfy predetermined relations.EFFECT: According to the invention, a gold ball has: dominance satisfying the high fly and control performance used by a professional and a senior player, at a high level; a straight fly while suppressing a spin at a full shot time; and a superior flying property, and is excellent in anti-scratch.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
