PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder which can suppress occurrence of cockling, and an image recording method.SOLUTION: An image recorder 1 comprises: a head part 4 which discharges plural ink drops on the basis of image data; a dry part 5 which irradiates ink, which is discharged from the head part 4 and is adhered onto a surface of a base material with an electromagnetic wave, thereby heating the ink; a control part 8 which so controls the dry part 5 as to change a peak position P of a standing wave W1 by the electromagnetic wave on the basis of an adhesion amount of the ink on the surface of the base material 2; and a transportation drive part 90 which transports the base material 2 with respect to the head part 4 and the dry part 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
