PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods of suppressing the immune tolerance of a disease in a patient, which are useful in treatment of cancers and infections.SOLUTION: A method comprises decreasing the immunosuppressive activity of Treg cells by administering a therapeutic composition comprising allogeneic Th1 cells to a patient, where decreasing and/or inhibiting the activity of the Treg cells suppresses immune tolerance of disease antigens in the patient. The therapeutic composition preferably further comprises IFN-γ, and also preferably further comprises components that interact with and reduce the activity of TGF-β.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1B |
