PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately correct the density of an image formed by an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a γ correction part 62; an image forming station 10 that forms images; a density detection sensor 5 that measures a pattern image; a control part 303 that creates a γLUT on the basis of a result of measurement performed by the density detection sensor 5; and a memory 40 that stores a γLUT 211b and a γLUT 92b. The image forming apparatus determines, on the basis of the created γLUT, γLUT 211b, and γLUT 92b, a correction coefficient corresponding to the value of an input of high density to the created γLUTs, and corrects the created γLUTs on the basis of the correction coefficient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
