PURPOSE: A supplementary service method provides traffic information to mobile stations by using a location tracing function. CONSTITUTION: At least two traffic information offices(120, 122, 124) are connected to a base station controller(110) and a central traffic information bureau(140) is connected to a mobile exchange(130). The traffic information offices receives the location information of respective mobile stations generated by using a location tracing function from the base station controller, and generates the traffic information according to the location information to transmit them to the central traffic information bureau. The central traffic information bureau transmits the traffic information from the traffic information offices to another mobile exchange or to the traffic information offices under its own control via the connected mobile exchange(130). And, the traffic information offices broadcast the traffic information from the central traffic information bureau to respective mobile stations via the connected base station controller. Thereby, traffic information about specific areas are provided to mobile stations.
